Non-Spoiler Summary
Charlie and Silas have been best friends for the majority of their lives and in love since they were fourteen, but one day they find themselves without any memory of their lives. They work with each other to piece together what happened to them, and why they have no memories of it.
Non-Spoiler Review
I gave this book 5 stars on Goodreads because I loved the concept of the story, how it was done in the book, and the suspense that was created while reading it. I couldn't put the book down, and because of its short length of only 150 pages, I finished it in under 3 hours. It was filled with mystery and romance (but mostly mystery) that let you try and piece together everything, and overall I would recommend this book to anyone that likes a good mystery.
Spoiler Review
I am going to warn anyone now, if you haven't read this book yet and do not like spoilers then do not read beyond this point.
I found the concept of this book very interesting because the characters of the book (Charlie and Silas) couldn't remember anything about their personal lives but they remembered things like the names of flowers and their computer passwords. Also, in the end, its revealed that this wasn't the first time that they lost their memories, and that every 48 hours they would forget everything again. What they had found out so far was that their fathers had worked together for many years but Charlie's father was put in jail for embezzlement and fraud, Charlie had been cheating on Silas with a boy named Brian, Silas had been cheating on Charlie with the guidance counselor (faithful couple we have here), there was a girl they called The Shrimp that people kept mentioning, and more importantly the fact that this had happened to them before.
They had left themselves letters after they had lost their memories earlier in the week, this being the third time that this had happened apparently, which gave a list of their personal information so that they could make it through the day. Even though Charlie knew nothing about this because she had disappeared the previous night, Silas wrote down the information that they had found out this far. In this information, he is hoping that the next time they lose their memories, he can find it and find Charlie to figure out what is going on.
I've never read a book like this and I can't wait to read the next two. The second is already out, and the third is set to come out on January 26, 2016. Let me know what you guys thought of the book in the comments below :)
